Feedback from the judges

Jason Carter: Fun game that pushed my poor typing skills to the limit. Made use of the competition's theme which is good. This game could be expanded and used to teach how to type without looking at the keyboard. That's how I took it and quite enjoyed playing it. The graphics were a bit blurry, maybe try disabling antialias or exploring other rending techniques. Great job and thanks for participating in js13kgames! :)

Spartez Team: Smart usage of library so you don't need to reinvent the wheel. Graphics are ok. I especially do like the background, not sure if you drew it yourself, if yes hats off. Personally I always go with abstract shapes, colors and gradients - because I can't draw at all. I can see 3 mechanics here: don't shoot ladies, type fast without errors, distance between targets decreases over time. I feel that most important think about the gameplay - difficulty increases too quickly. People will play it 6 times over few minutes and get bored. I find it hard to connect it to offline theme. You could try with joke like "when you are dead you are offline the grid" or something ;P Some random ideas to spice it up with low effort: * increase difficulty slightly over level; then change background (like new level) and start with low difficulty again - it gives some pacing, makes game longer, change it to endurance and focus challenge * make more monsters come at once (different angles?) but slowly, each with it's own word; then you can differentiate monsters; boss has longer word or requires two shots; some come closer than others
